The new TECHNIQUE for breaking the stall
So for the last month I have been the exact same weight. From Ash Wednesday till the Saturday after I went on a water fast. That’s whole other story on that journey. But I did that fast and lost five pounds! It felt good to break the stall. But then I started eating normal carnivore again and that weight came back in a few days. Then I was back to my stalled weight.
I know I didn’t gain any FAT back but I think I just gained the food in my stomach back and maybe some water weight. But just yesterday for Wednesday, I decided to do a “Fat Fast.” What is a fat fast you may ask? So basically you can only have fat and minimal protein. So heavy whipping cream, butter, tallow, and egg yolks. There are a few other things you can have like coffee etc. but these are the main ones.
I did it a little wrong because I started with heavy cream and espresso in the morning which was good, but I had way too much and felt it later in the day. I then made a drink with heavy cream, tow egg yolks, and a double shot of Nespresso. I should’ve just stuck with this drink and not the other coffee. So that gave me SO MUCH energy and I didn’t even think about food till after work. I was alert, focused, and ready for the day.
When getting home I used my little double shot Nespresso cup and put some cream in it with a slice of butter. I warmed it up in the microwave and mixed it together. It tasted savory like an Alfredo sauce. Obviously because that’s the starts of making Alfredo sauce. It was really good and kept me satiated for a couple hours. Then I made some bacon and broke my 24 hour fast with some bacon and eggs. That was all I ate and I felt great!
The scale this morning was happier with another pound lost. Finally breaking the stall! So I will be trying this new fat fast for a week every day, without the ridiculous amount of coffee, and seeing how it’s going to work to get these final pounds off me.
One thing I noticed is if it’s too dramatic of a fast like water fast or if the food is super limited to where you won’t continue it, then that’s probably not the way of doing things. My body seems to love this new technique so I will be continuing it for a while to see how I do. Nobody is the exact same and so we have to tailor our diet and life to match what’s best for us. Also I think I really needed more fats in my diet, so this is going to help. We shall see what comes of it!
